Our activities during 2009-2011

Comenius activities in Vändra Gymnasium.

1.      Participating in the music meetings in Spain and Germany, drama meetings in Germany and the UK, a sport meeting in the UK and the initial meeting in Spain. (45 mobilities: 23 student, 22 teacher mobilities). http://ourcomenius.wikispaces.com/MusicDay2009

3.      Giving constant feedback writing articles to the local paper „Vändra Teataja“ and to the county paper „Pärnu Postimees“, also to the school and town webpages and to the e-journal „SPODRAMUS“ after each meeting. http://www.parnupostimees.ee/?id=406413

6.      Translating texts about the Spanish, English and German school systems in English lessons, compiling slideshows on the customs of our partner states.
7.      Taking Comenius students and teachers to see B. Shaw’s “Pygmalion“ by The American Drama Group Europe in Tallinn in 2010 before the drama meeting in Liverpool 2011.  http://www.adg-europe.com/

10.  Making the SPODRAMUS board- a new one after each meeting for the whole school to get to know about the activities going on.
11.  Writing articles and inserting pictures to the blog „SPODRAMUS“: www.spodramus.blogspot.com 
12.  Inviting journalists, local authorities and people from the National Agency to the sports meeting.
13.  Writing essays, collecting art works, translating poems of Estonian poets into English, recording poems, monologues for the e-book and for the drama meetings in Germany and the UK.
14.  Introducing the partner-countries through literature, history, geography, music, English and German lessons, also after each visit to a partner school.
15.  Organising an English course for the teachers of the school (Jan 2011-May 2011- before the meetings in the UK and the final meeting in Estonia).
16.  Exhibiting logos and book reviews, of at least a hundred students of our school.

18.  Having a Comenius activity group meeting with students once a week- every Friday after the third lesson to organise project activities and giving feedback/eating sweets after each project meeting. Holding numerous meetings with teachers when needed and giving feedback to the staff of the school.
19.  Inviting sport, music and drama teachers to participate in the project meetings in addition to the permanent project activity core group of 6 teachers.
20.  Applying successfully for the Comenius Student Mobility together with our partner school in Spain.
21.  Computing course (making a Comenius list), constant supervising, training of both students and teachers on Wikispaces, Facebook, blogging, making CDs, DVDs, Powerpoint etc
